About Dr. Jesse Sattler, PT, DPT

Dr. Jesse Sattler is a sports physical therapist within our facility. His specialty and experience includes working with professional, collegiate, high school, and youth/adult athletes. Dr. Sattler has worked with NFL, MLB, NHL, MLS and PLL players. He has worked with state and national championship wrestlers, world-ranked combat athletes, USA figure-skating athletes, and CrossFit Games qualifying athletes. He has treated many collegiate basketball players and was trusted on the sports medicine staff of multiple top HS football teams in NJ.

He received his Bachelors in Business from the University of Maryland College Park where he also wrestled. Dr. Sattler continues his baseball career playing competitively in the USABL. He received his Doctorate from Rutgers University (formerly UMDNJ) where he met his wife, Owner Dr. Hanna Sattler. He practiced within many different athletic training and CrossFit facilities prior to settling in as a Co-Owner at OTB.

Currently, Dr. Sattler is also on faculty at Rutgers University in their Doctor of Physical Therapy program, teaching Orthopedics, Examination & Intervention Techniques, and Strength & Conditioning. He is also an acute care per diem therapist, interested in the full continuum of care.

His post-doctorate training consists of certifications in:

Cert. DN (Dry Needling)

Mulligan and Maitland mobilization techniques

Spinal Manipulative Therapy through AAMT

Functional Movement Taping technique through Rocktape

Functional Range Condition Mobility Specialist

Functional Range Release (Manual Therapist)

Functional Movement Systems (FMS)

He also has additional training in IASTM (Graston Technique), Trigger Point Therapy, Cupping Therapy, and advanced assessment techniques via the SFMA.

He is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through NSCA and is a Certified Functional Strength Coach training under Mike Boyle. He has also completed the Movement Fix course load and Champion Performance Systems certifications through Mike Reinold’s education system.

This experience has assisted Dr. Sattler in bridging the gap between strength/conditioning and physical therapy and better assist in his ability to program higher level strengthening activities for his patients.

Most importantly, Jesse believes that care should be individualized to each person, and he is continually working with the person in front of him, as each case is unique and requires a novel solution. He treats everyone like they are a part of his family, and lives out his mission to “help others, always.”
